Objectives
The students will have to plot the routes of the explorers by reading the information from the website and looking for the direction words.

Goals
Students should be able to read the information and formulize directions for each explorer.
Students should be able to retrace the route using Worksheet11, this website and a student atlas.

Have the groups get information from the website to retrace their routes. When all of the groups are finished, compare and contrast the reason of the early explorers. Have the class work on putting the routes on the wall map with different colored yarn. When the class has a disagreement, act as the mediator. When the class has finished, you will need to title the map and add to the map key.
