We have seen a variety of interesting animals in our Luce Elementary Nature Center!

  The cricket is an arthrodpod belonging to the insect family. It is one of the many insects found in our Nature Center.
  The hawk is a bird of prey. It is a frequent visitor. We have seen a variety of fowl in our center.
  Butterflies belong to the insect family. They characteristically have slender bodies, knobbed antennae, and four, broad, usually colorful wings.
  Frogs are aquatic amphibians, characteristically having a smooth, moist skin, webbed feet, and long hind legs adapted for leaping.
  The raccoon is a carnivorous North American mammal having grayish-brown fur, black masklike facial markings, and a bushy black-ringed tail.
