More Signs of Animal Life

Rabbits frequently visit our center. Scientists call rabbit droppings, "scat." Scat comes in many shapes and sizes. Oddly enough most of them are not stinky. Scats contain pieces of food the animal could not digest. In rabbit droppings, if you look carefully, you will see pieces of tiny twigs and leaves.  Moles are a nusiance to most gardeners. They dig tunnels in search of worms and grubs. As long as they don't disturb the roots of plants, don't worry too much about them. Some people think placing juicy fruit gum in the tunnels helps to rid the area of these pests. If you have an idea let us know!

Check out this site! More fun with animal tracks.
