In small groups, students discuss cooperative behaviors and develop skits to demonstrate the use of these behaviors in a variety of settings.
Ic3: Students will contribute to group activities by demonstrating competencies in interrelating with group members.
Paper and pencil, VCR, TV and video camera if available.
Place students in small groups.
Ask each group to list as many cooperative behaviors as they can think of (such as taking turns, listening, sharing, accepting others opinions, helping others, compromising, participating, etc.) These behaviors should enable all persons to be productive and utilize their abilities.
Ask each group to choose a cooperative behavior or characteristic and develop three skits to show how it might be practiced differently in home, school, and work settings.
Have students present the skits. Videotape skits if possible.
Have whole class evaluate the skits or videos of the skits.
