Grouseland

William Henry Harrison was a great hunter. A bird called a grouse was plentiful. Because he enjoyed hunting them, he named his home Grouseland.

Upon entering the mansion the beautiful cherry stairway is visible.

The family spent time in the parlor. Governor Harrison held meetings there too.

The formal dining room is decorated with objects from the years Harrison lived here.

This room is Harrison's bedroom and the four poster bed belonged to him.
